The Gardener's Notepad
A very nice white selection of Pulmonaria! I was trying to quickly find out how this plant came to be, since it is usually uttered with an association to Vita Sackville-West's famous White Garden at Sissinghurst Castle, but unfortunately, perennials are much less likely to have their origins traced and proclaimed. An unfortunate reality for those of us who are interested in the stories of interesting plants and the people who discovered them. This particular cultivar is well suited for color themed gardens, specifically, and obviously, white ones. Likes light shade, and foliage can be trimmed back immediately after blooming to force fresh new leaves, or can also be left go although overall appearance is improved with at least a little cleanup.
