So I will admit, Mahonia is an acquired taste but come on, these are cool! Quite prickly, and could be useful for keeping people in or out of an area. The unfortunate soul that falls into one will not soon forget. Not nearly as deadly as American Holly but still means business. Introduced from China in 1895.
