Mountain Fire sports brilliant red-orange new growth with white flowers in Spring. Summer foliage is light green. This Pieris, as well as most others, is commonly grown and planted in full sun although overall plant quality in the landscape is enhanced by providing at least some shade, especially in the afternoon.
