Originated as a seedling selection in Denmark, and has become the 'go to' hedge plant. Soft textured and easily grown in the Northeast. Some issue with splitting under snow load, but that can be minimized by planting trees that have fewer than 5 trunks, or by tying the trunks together on the inside. The tying option is quite effective, and a little effort goes a long way.
