Unequaled in bloom! Layers of branches are topped with fuzzy white flowers, followed by blueish black flowers on Fall. There is some really amusing commentary on this species in Dr. Dirr's Manual of Woody Landscape Plants. I would love to copy it here, but that would be an infringement on his copyright!
