The Gardener's Notepad
Winterberries, or deciduous hollies, are quite happy in full sun to partial shade, and don't mind getting their feet wet. This variety is noted for it's heavy fruiting in fall of bright, shiny red berries that retain their color well into early spring. Be sure to plant a male pollinator, like Jim Dandy or Southern Gentleman, to ensure proper berry production. The birds love them too!
