Red Flower Carpet Rose

A very good true red flower with a yellow center. Deep green leaves with just a tint of redness. I'm always amazed by the climate range that these roses will grow in! Fascinating. 'Red' is probably the most vigorous grower of the series, as is typical in roses, and will benefit more from a mid-season shearing than the others. Be sure to whack it back over winter. I have to chuckle when I see neglected Flower Carpet roses... I saw a red one that was all of 6 ft. tall! Of course, it's only a problem if you want it to be shorter. The rose was very happy, and unaware of wrongdoing. The shade of red in this rose pairs very well with blue flowered perennials and large golden leafed plants.
