The Gardener's Notepad

A very attractive little Viburnum with scented flowers and glossy green leaves. It has performed very well for us. Which leads me to my next point... Given the performance (growth rate) of this plant, either I am going to be very surprised by it's self control or we were given mislabeled material. They've grown nearly 12 inches in a single season and this thing matures at 1 to 2 ft.? Really? Hmm. We have one on trial in our perimeter display garden, and while I have no objections to the plant itself, I have a hard time believing the literature. Time will tell.
