The Gardener's Notepad
An excellent hybrid introduced by the U. S. National Arboretum in 1966. Very disease resistant, and flowers abundantly. Leaves are thick and dark green with a creamy white underside, and while they do give off an abrasive itchy powder, it is not nearly as obnoxious as a true Leatherleaf (V. rhytidophyllum). Extremely versatile, and will withstand full sun to almost pure shade. A very worthy plant.
