The Gardener's Notepad
A very beautiful tree, especially as the bark begins to exfoliate. Branches are a rich coppery brown color, and rather shiny. And some of the original trees are at the Arnold Arboretum, the seeds of which were collected by E. H. Wilson on one of his expeditions to China over 100 years ago. How cool is that?
