The Gardener's Notepad
One of my current favorites! The leaves are fuzzy when the first appear, and the prettiest shade of deep red. As the year progresses the color softens and becomes more greenish purple. Not terribly fast growing either, so it can be used in locations that would otherwise be too restricted for a tree.
