The Gardener's Notepad
Tamukeyama is a good dark red laceleaf cultivar with excellent color retention throughout summer, and it also puts on an impressively bright fall display. It does enjoy a bit of dappled shade from the hot summer sun. One of the older (oldest?) cultivars, first listed in Japan in 1710, and still quite popular! A vigorous grower.
