The Gardener's Notepad
A member of the Hazel family. Tiny red flowers all over the tree on warm days in late Winter, but visible not to the casual passers by. One has to physically grasp a branch and get a good look. Very subtle in all it's ways. Summer leaves are a pleasant shade of green and, with age, the bark begins to exfoliate in the same fashion as Sycamore. Long lasting warm yellow to coppery Fall color. Worth more attention than it gets. An introverted tree. Native to Iran.
